Remotly offers native integration with Microsoft Active Directory (Entra ID). Users and permissions come from your directory, so you can roll out remote access across the whole organization without creating accounts manually. The integration is available in the Admin plan.
Requirements: a Microsoft administrator account with admin‑consent rights and Entra Joined devices. Microsoft Intune is optional and used for mass deployment.
Deployment step by step
- Sign in with Microsoft. Sign in to the administrator panel with a Microsoft account and grant a one‑time admin consent for the Entra ID integration.
- Import users from security groups. Import users from Entra ID security groups — imported users automatically receive Remotly licenses.
- Download the personalized installer. Get a branded QuickHost installer (logo, colors, module names) with a ready silent‑install command containing your organization token.
- Deploy at scale. Roll out via Microsoft Intune as a Win32 / .intunewin package, or install manually.
How access works
- Access follows Entra ID. A user can connect to a device if their work account is signed in on it, they share a security group or administrative unit, or belong to different groups assigned to the same administrative unit.
- Permissions are managed in the directory. With the integration enabled, permissions are managed through Active Directory instead of the Remotly admin panel.
- Revocation is immediate. Revoking permissions in Entra ID disconnects the active session immediately and blocks further access.
